It’s no secret that AST’s teams around the globe work very
hard to ensure that our clients reach their business objectives with

This often means late nights and weekend hours, in addition to ongoing
collaboration during “normal” business hours.
Rapidly growing organizations often lose sight of what leads to
successful growth in the first place – their people. Rest assured, that is not the case for

Regardless of where our employees are in the world, we make
sure to take the time to celebrate our people and their achievements, which
begin with birthdays! Each month, our
Lisle Headquarters and Pune, India offices each hold a birthday celebration for
those celebrating another year. Our
project teams on client sites also organize birthday celebrations on site and
involve the client teams in the festivities.
This month, our team on the Calfrac project gathered to
celebrate birthdays with a team dinner, including our team members’
families. Happy birthday to Sachin W.,
Suresh S., and Sanjay K. of the AST team at Calfrac! Here are some photos from those events, as

Small recognitions of important events, such as birthdays
and personal achievements, are important to ensure our teams around the globe
know they are appreciated and recognized as individuals inside and outside of
AST.

AST had the honor of hosting a 20-person delegation from
various branches of the Ugandan Government last week, including a top diplomat
and Minister from Uganda’s High Court, Inspector General of the National
Police, and Commissioner of the National Corrections. Uganda is in the process
of modernizing and integrating the IT systems used by its various branches of
Justice, and is using AST’s
successful CJIS Integration Platform at Cook County as the model. Over three days, AST’s team conducted a
series of Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Integration Workshops and
tours of Cook County Justice agencies and Chicago Police facilities.
Highlights of the week included a Meet and Greet with AST’s
executives and CJIS Integration team at AST’s Lisle, IL Headquarters on Monday,
followed by a welcome luncheon and an overview of the Cook County project,
featuring AST’s CJIS Integration
Platform and Automated Court Reminder System.
The group toured the Cook County Branch 43 Criminal
Courthouse and had informative Q&A sessions with County judges on Tuesday,
followed by onsite visits to the 9th and 11th District
Chicago Police Branches, CPD Headquarters, and Strategic Decision Support
Center. The day concluded with meetings
with Smart Policing trailblazers Chief Jonathon Lewin and IT Director Steve
Maris.
Wednesday’s events included a morning workshop, Building
a Justice Network, at Cook County’s Bureau of Technology, an Executive
Luncheon at the Daly Center with the Honorable Clerk of the Court, Dorothy
Brown, and concluded with a Cook County Integrated CJIS Committee Panel
Discussion with County Justice Agency CIOs and AST Director Daniel DiMarco,
moderated by the Honorable Dorothy Brown.
‘Thank You!’ to the Ugandan government for this fantastic

headquarters welcomed new CEO Justin Winter with a social gathering and
cocktail hour. The casual event provided
a great opportunity for everyone to get acquainted outside of the office.

Technology LLC (AST) has announced that the AST Board of Directors has
appointed Justin Winter as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Winter assumed
leadership of the company effective June 24, 2019. Pravin Kumar, AST’s founder
and past CEO has been named Vice Chairman and in this new role will be
responsible for strategic planning and acquisitions.
Mr. Winter is a dynamic leader, with more than 25 years of regional and global experience in leading IT services organizations. Before joining AST, he spent 15 years at Hitachi Consulting where he held multiple leadership positions. His most recent position was Chief Operating Officer, where he had responsibility for all sales, marketing, delivery, and operations globally. Prior to Hitachi Consulting, Justin worked at Oracle, IBM, and other consulting companies in various service delivery and sales roles.
Speaking on behalf of the board, Executive Chairman Mr.
Gurvendra Suri said, “Justin’s depth of experience will immediately benefit AST
and our customers, by furthering our efforts in delivery excellence and
corporate growth. He has built a tremendous reputation in the industry and we
are fortunate to have him join the AST executive team.”
Pravin Kumar, founder and Vice Chairman added, “In Justin
Winter we have found the leader with the best experience, skills and vision to
take over the helm and lead AST. His
experience with global and large commercial enterprise customers will help AST
build in this market segment while continuing to provide delivery excellence.”
Mr. Winter is a people-person, eager to learn more about AST’s
team and culture, and has expressed a deep regard for AST’s accomplishments. He
looks forward to learning more about AST’s core values and accelerating the
company’s growth. Mr. Winter has spent this week at AST’s headquarters in
Lisle, Illinois, directly connecting with leadership and teams, understanding
AST’s culture, and conducting an all-hands meeting to introduce himself, as
well as his vision and goals for AST’s future.
Mr. Winter lives in the suburbs of Dallas, TX and will lead
AST from its office in Dallas, TX. In
the coming weeks, he will be making a concerted effort to visit and connect
with AST employees, partners, and customers.
