COLLABORATE 18: Women in Technology

shutterstock_593930885This week at COLLABORATE 18, we’re celebrating women in technology with two exclusive events!

In just a few minutes, we’re headed to the sold out Women in Technology Lunch at the Mandalay Bay.  This luncheon will feature Las Vegas-local development and database engineering maven, Heather Parks, for a special presentation, “Predicting a Homerun” – using data to determine future outcomes.

For over 20 years, Ms. Parks has driven success for her clients with her approach to database technology, and has evolved the gaming technology industry with her unprecedented patents. She has been a role model for women in technology, giving back to the community as a board member and co-chair of Las Vegas NCWIT, Women in Technology 2017 High Tech Rising Star winner, and active with Las Vegas Girls in Tech.

On Wednesday morning (April 25), we’ll be attending the Women in Technology Panel Discussion.  At this event, an influential panel of women in the technology field, including OAUG President, Christine Hipp, IT Manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory, will provide a forum to discuss personal experiences and strategies for success.

We are looking forward to learning from Ms. Parks, Ms. Hipp, and our fellow women in technology about successes in the field and the impact that they (and so many other women) make in this exciting industry!
