AST Corporation has been selected by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) to assist with RIAC's upgrade of Oracle Applications from Release 10.7 to the most recent version of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i. AST has also been awarded a follow-up contract for multiple years of Oracle E-Business Suite support services at RIAC.

RIAC uses several software applications in its Enterprise Resource Planning system, such as General Ledger, Purchasing, Financial Reporting, and Accounts Payable. In addition, RIAC uses the Airport Information Management System (AIMS) as a property and revenue contract manager, including billing and key performance indicator capabilities; AIMS interfaces with Oracle General Ledger. RIAC required that the selected implementation partner collaborate with consultants working on upgrading AIMS to Airport IQ Business Manager to ensure a seamless integration of information between Airport IQ and Oracle E-Business Suite 11i.

Based on our extensive work in delivering Oracle implementation, upgrade and support services to a broad aviation authority and airport clientele, RIAC chose AST to serve as the overall project management consultancy that would oversee all project team members and other implementation partner consultants and subcontractors. AST would also provide technical consultants for the duration of the project to achieve all objectives within the constraints of Oracle Applications.

Immediately following the upgrade project, AST began support services for RIAC's Oracle E-Business Suite functions, database system, and supporting interfaces within its ERP system. AST was awarded this support contract after a competitive solicitation, winning the contract due to our multiple Oracle support-specific projects around the nation, and familiarity with RIAC's ERP system and business processes.
