As the founder and president of AST Corporation, Mr. Kumar oversees our strategic planning, marketing and business development efforts, and sets the bar in our practice for exemplary client service, ethics, and teamwork. Mr. Kumar brings over 20 years of information technology and project management experience in the ERP industry and is the guiding force behind our excellent customer relations. Prior to establishing AST in 1995, Mr. Kumar was a Principal Consultant at Oracle Corporation and a Systems Analyst at Tata Engineering.
Mr. Kumar holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, India.

Mr. Kumar founded AST Corporation in 1995, and has served as company president since that time. Mr. Kumar provides strategic direction to the company, and hiring and reviewing the performance of employees. He manages the sales and business development efforts, and assists with proposal writing, pricing and estimation of service offerings and contracts. He also manages key client and account relationships and assists with the project management and execution for Oracle ERP implementations as needed. Mr. Kumar is active in the trade circles and has presented several papers and moderated discussion panels at OAUG meetings and other conferences.
Mr. Kumar previously worked with Oracle Corporation on the Applications Development team and was instrumental in getting Release 10 of Oracle Government Applications certified by General Services Administration (GSA) of the US Government. As a key member of Oracle Corporation’s Vertical Applications group, Mr. Kumar helped to develop various new features in Release 10, including budgetary control and FSG features. He worked with Oracle Government Services in implementing projects for large Oracle customers including Fermilab, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Bechtel.

Grew up in a small town India with a close and large extended family and socially vibrant surrounding. I value hard work, social responsibility, honesty and sincerity of purpose. Enjoy reading and playing all kinds of sports and games- from racquetball, rollerblading and volleyball to bridge and other card games. I find relaxation and pleasure in spending time with my children and playing with my golden retriever, Tiger.
