Robert Henry
Director, Marketing & Communications

As Director of Marketing and Communications, Mr. Henry has been instrumental in developing AST's marketing department and structuring its corporate communications practices.  Mr. Henry leads AST's marketing and service offering campaigns, corporate communications and the proposal development team. Prior to joining AST, Mr. Henry was Marketing Manager, Business Communications Director, and Publications Manager for firms such as Seismiq, Inc., Cabot Electronics, Computer Associates, Blue Meteor, Inc, and Inso Corporation.  

Mr. Henry holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Management from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois and Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and History from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

About myself:
Youngest of 4 children,  Played football throughout college.  Spent summer of ’95 in Europe.  Dogsledded/x-country skied through Minnesota and Canada.  Lived in Chicago for 7 years.  Married with two beautiful boys.  Passionate about football, skiing (downhill and x-country) and being outside with family.

Flexibility.

What inspires me:
My family and the company of friends.
Favorite childhood movie:
The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars, in that order.  Jaws.  Halloween still guarantees a bad dream.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Young Frankenstein, Duck Soup, The Graduate, Risky Business, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Big Night, Das Boot, Alien,

Favorite childhood toy:
Trains and Legos.  Still love both.

Favorite food to eat or cook:
Seafood.  A brat and beer at Wrigley Field.  Tailgate food.

Favorite music:
Alternative.  Late 60s, 70s rock.  Classical guitar and piano.

Musical instrument:
Still hoping to start piano or guitar lessons one day.

Idol:

My parents.  Walter Payton.  John Wilson, a professor in college; He was a Korean War veteran, and would lecture throughout a three-hour class, ‘The Second World War’, without notes.  Had an encyclopedic knowledge of history, spoke 5 languages, one of the friendliest people I’ve known.
