Enterprise Application Migration (EAM)

Enterprise Application Migration (EAM) is AST's proprietary methodology for packaged software migration from one major release to another. It is a structured methodology that consistently drives upgrade projects to successful and on-time delivery. EAM provides templates and deliverables to guide the project team through the upgrade process. This methodology has been evolved over several years of successful consulting experience, user and consultant feedback and progressive compilation of tools and templates.

EAM 2.0 is not sold as a product and is only available with AST's consulting engagements. Please contact us at info@astcorporation.com if you would like more details of AST's proprietary methodology

Clearly Defined Phases

A structured approach is the key element of the EAM methodology. EAM phases and deliverables can be customized to a particular project need or to complement an existing methodology in use at the client company. A Requirements Review considers organizational changes, process improvement and re-engineering initiatives.

Specific Deliverables

EAM comprises a structured six-phase approach with measurable performance milestones. The deliverables and milestones may be tailored for specific project needs or to meet client's pre-established standards.

Measurable Performance Parameters

EAM integrates standard and custom modules into a single working business solution. EAM then verifies the full system solution against company processes, measuring and predicting reliability and performance.

Well Documented Processes

Documentation and formal acceptance of deliverables and documents is a crucial aspect of EAM methodology. EAM strongly recommends the use of groupware, to track project issues and facilitate communication amongst team members and the use of version control software to track project deliverables.
