Situation

King County’s existing Hyperion Planning application was more than five years old and had been extended and refactored multiple times in efforts focused on continuous improvement. The highly-customized Public Sector module had additional custom cubes, unused licenses, and presented the following major issues.

  • Numerous enhancements caused poor performance;
  • Customizations made the system difficult to manage;
  • The system was not fully integrated, creating critical gaps in financial reporting; and
  • It was severely out of date and lacked essential automation.

King County chose to partner with AST due to our deep domain expertise in Public Sector Planning and Budgeting, along with our critical experience working with Oracle’s Cloud EPM products.
