HEADLINE: Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, APTA 2007 Best Transit System winner, awards AST Corporation a contract for Oracle Applications Consulting and Implementation Services.
Naperville, IL – The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), winner of the American Public Transportation Association 2007 award for North America's Best Transit System, has awarded AST Corporation a contract for Oracle Applicaions Consulting and Implementation Services. GCRTA serves 1.4 million people in the Cleveland metropolitan area with bus, heavy and light rail, paratransit, circulator, and transit infrastructure services. The GCRTA uses several Oracle Applications to support its business processes, and sought an experienced partner to lead four separate Oracle projects. The first project seeks to promptly implement a solution to replace GCRTA's ordering, shipping/distribution and accounting legacy system for its fare media, one that seamlessly integrates with the Authority's financial applications. The solution for GCRTA will incorporate the Supply Chain Management, Order Management, Inventory and iStore modules. This initial project commenced in September 2007. Future projects will include implementation of Oracle Advanced Benefits and Oracle Learning Management, along with an agreement for support services.
