Naperville, IL – AST Corporation has been selected by the City of Burbank, California to provide application software and implementation services for the HRMS, Budget, and WOAM functions of its enterprise system. The project consists of replacing the City's current system with Human Resources/Payroll, Budget Planning, Development and Forecasting, and Work Order and Asset Management systems modules over a 3 year period. With over 102,000 residents and 1500 permanent employees, the City was experiencing several shortcomings in its current enterprise system. In conjunction with the City of Burbank Water and Power (BWP) division, the City sought an experienced systems integration vendor that had extensive experience in large-scale ERP projects with both municipal government and utility clients, plus an integrated and scalable solution that would satisfy the needs of both the City government and BWP. After months of deliberation and comparison, the City chose Oracle to fulfill its software requirements, and AST to provide full implementation, training and post-production services. The first phase of the project was launched in January 2007, with completion scheduled for January 2008.
